Dr. Raina completed her dental degree at Western University. She then did a one-year hospital internship at the University of Rochester's Eastman Institute of Oral Health, where she trained in complex surgeries and treating compromised patients. After her formal training and intership, she trained as a periodontal specialist at the University of Iowa, earning a Diploma in Periodontics and Implant Surgery and a Master of Science in Oral Sciences.
Dr. Raina has won several awards and has published in mutliple peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Professional Work
Dr. Raina is a board-certified periodontist in both Canada and the United States. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She is trained in all types of gum surgery and dental implant work, including periodontal and implant surgery, soft tissue grafting, gum aesthetic procedures, and bone grafting to prepare sites for implants.
Dr. Raina also serves as a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Ontario Dental Association, the Midwest Society of Periodontology, and the American Board of Periodontology. She has also served on the executive committees of the Ontario Society of Periodontology and the Toronto Central Dental Society.
